It’s 8:15 PM. My wife is in bed, fast asleep. I have worked almost 9 hours. I fixed breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The sink is piled with dishes. The laundry is overflowing in the hallway. I got off work to drive Caedmon straight to Boy Scouts (with the 3 year old), which was 3 hours of my evening. The living room is the disaster that my kids left before heading out. The carpet in all the rooms needs vacuuming.  I had to spank the 8 year due to his complete lack of respect and informing me multiple times that he could do things his way and make his own rules. Needless to say, I will not be working out.

This is not to paint my wife in a bad light. She is an excellent wife and I miss her. The pregnancy and hyperemesis leaves her feeling like a nasueated zombie all day. I am ready to call in the chastity belt after this one! I feel so bad for her, because she is absolutely miserable. And there is nothing I can do about it. I hate feeling so exhausted and disempowered.
